Sticks- by George Saunders

When Kimmie was screaming on Christmas Eve just because a piece of apple, I thought he was simply a crazy father. But looking at the cross-shaped stick I could find some unusual things. There were several scenes, starting with simply a sports event related to the Golden Ball, dressing and putting on makeup as if he were dealing with his wife after her death, hanging a letter, and tying the words love and forgive. When celebrating sports events or holidays, I thought it was just for fun, but I thought that the stick represented father's life when he treated stick as his wife, when he wrote letters or hung words. I also thought that the scene where a young couple came in and the stick was thrown away also meant the end of father'sAnd maybe he loves his kids but the way he shows it is so complicated for kids to unndertand.

This was the shortest story I have read, but I think it contains deep meanings and metaphors so that it can make us feel and think about something regardless of its length.(185 words)
